“Why Surface Preparation Matters?”
The surface should be treated by grinding, scarifying and shot blasting, to clean contaminates and remove the defects such as sanding, peeling, looseness, pitting, oil and grease. The Scarifier and Shaver can produce a reasonable level of roughness on the surface, which increases the surface area with the increasing exposure of concrete pores. Once the floor/surface is prepared, a good base for cover materials is provided, and the bond strength between the floor and the material is enhanced.
